Healthcare Relocation and Training Facility

We have been successful with our tender bid for ISG Construction at the former Direct Working Pensions site at Gabalfa Cardiff. The current owners, Cardiff University will create a facility linked to the adjoining Cardiff University Hospital site which will provide urgently needed Healthcare Relocation and Training facilities to improve facilities for the region.                                                                                                                  
                                                                                                                               
Interesting fact on this particular site relates to us being responsible for providing flooring to the previous tenants, some 40 years ago, PSA (Property Services Agency) when we held the term contract. Incidentally, there is evidence of small areas of linoleum from that period still visible. Work commenced in July, which initially involved a substantial amount of remedial work to the floor slab which involves making up levels to produce a suitable laying surface for floor finishes.                                                           

After careful consideration and thought we finally opted for our tried and tested supplier, Bostik to assist us in providing suitable products to help us achieve an adequate floor substrate. Provisional order amounts exceed over 75 pallets of latex which have already been delivered into site.Overall floor plate coverage extends over 6000 sqm featuring Forbo and Milliken carpet tiles flooring.Attached are images which demonstrate the final finishes which will be achieved shortly.
